“Cheap phones are getting better and good phones are getting cheaper” -Marques Brownlee aka MKBHD

At the beginning of this trend, we used to see killer specs at killer specs. But the devices never really looked or felt premium. Gone are those days. Many Chinese OEMs have lined up quite a lot of cheap smartphones not only packs killer specs but looks and feel just like flagships.

And marching forward in this direction is Lenovo with their new offering the Vibe K5 and the Vibe K5 plus. Both devices feature an all-metal unibody design. Spec wise both are pretty similar. Apart from a FullHD display in the K5 Plus compared to 720P in K5 and the Octa-core Snapdragon 616 chipset in K5 Plus compared to Quad-core SD415 in K5, both devices sport 5.0in Display, 2 gigs of RAM, 13MP rear and 5MP front shooters, 16GB on-board storage expandable up to 128GB and Dual SIM slots.

Both will run on Android 5.1 out of the box. Both will support LTE connectivity. And both come with DOLBY Atmos rear facing speakers, which may excite all the sound buffs out there.

The K5 is priced at 129$(approx. 8900INR) and the K5 Plus is priced at 149$(approx. 10300) and will be available around March.
